COFFEE BREAK 65

+ updated at 2:46pm

+ Wind Advisory in effect until 6 PM EDT this evening...

+ Churches for Middle East Peace offers a "Letter in Support of a Comprehensive Middle East Peace: An American National Interest Imperative". Excerpt: "We find common cause in supporting strong U.S. leadership to achieve a negotiated, sustainable resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict – a fundamental American interest that crosses racial, ethnic and religious lines. We support President Obama’s determination to provide sustained, hands-on diplomatic leadership to bring the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to an end through the creation."

+ Sabeel offers "Choose Life". It begins: "The situation in the Occupied Territories, including the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, is dire and desperate. Israel continues to jeopardize any opportunity for a peaceful negotiated settlement by creating facts on the ground in defiance of the international community."

+ This was a baseball game I wish I had seen + Baseball at its very best. A championship at stake. 12 innings. Tigers go ahead in the top of the tenth but the Twins tie the game again in the bottom of the tenth. The home team goes on to win the American League Central Division championship. Now they get to face the Yankees. Go Twins!

But, as a one-time resident of Michigan, I am sad that the Tigers were eliminated.
