This is the largest lead Obama has ever enjoyed in this poll. He has led since September 16 except for one day when he was tied. That was on September 24. He now has an eleven-point lead for the second straight day. The Gallup Poll is one of the oldest and most respected public opinion surveys. Every poll monitored by PollingReport.com has shown Obama leading since September 22. This is now 24 polls in a row.
The Republicans are going as negative as ever to try to counter this trend. Will Americans fall for the smears this time? It looks like we might show that we are better than that but 26 days is an eternity in politics as Obama said yesterday.
