Almost every national poll is now showing either a slim or big lead for Barack Obama over John McCain. The Washington Post-ABC poll gives Obama a 9 point lead. The Sarah Palin bubble is bursting. Wall Street is in turmoil. McCain seems to be tripping over every word he utters. Obama remains steady. I believe that Obama is the most disciplined candidate of the four heading the Democratic and Republican tickets this year. I see this as a significant strength. We need a disciplined leader to deal with enormous problems facing our planet and our nation. But, more than that, we need a leader who identifies strongly with the hopes and dreams of most of the people of the planet. He will not represent the interests of the plutocrats who have been running the planet into the ground in recent decades. We need this change.
