McCAIN MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE
The Republicans are doing it again. I can't believe that the Americans will fall for a smear campain once again. I hope not. Not this time. Enough is enough.
How can John McCain, who lost his bid for the Presidency in 2000 because of a smear campaign, now use those tactics to try to win the Presidency? Maybe he learned from that campaign all too well. Now he believes, apparently, that he must take American politics into the gutter in order for him to win. We can hold McCain accountable for this deceitful and mean-spirited campaign on November 4.
The Huffington Post offers "Fooled Again" by Bob Sesca. Sesca remains hopeful that Obama can win but he is quite concerned that the divisive and disrespectful politics of Karl Rove may triumph once again. Here's an excerpt: "We all know why this is happening. Senator Obama said it during his convention acceptance speech in Denver: 'Because if you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters. If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things.' / Small things. Like lipstick."
