COFFEE BREAK 14
+ Any thoughts you can add to this Coffee Break? This post can be revised and expanded.
+ At The Nation, Leslie Savan deals with the question: "What sort of psychological bent would lead people to want to be part of a dead-end political party like the GOP?"
+ Rachel Maddow has been devoting a lot of time to the GOP comedy act. But maybe she should devote more time to another comedy act in town ... the Democrats!
+ Ed Schultz is campaigning hard on radio and TV for a Single Payer Health Care System. He is not happy that key Democrats are saying that "Single Payer is off the table."
2pm UPDATE: Ed is mad and rightly so that single payer advocates were completely excluded from a major senate hearing yesterday by Democratic Senator Max Baucus. Let's call or write Senator Baucus. I did both.
2:20pm UPDATE: An advocacy group for single payer health care is Guaranteed Healthcare. You can see a video of yesterday's protest at the Senate hearing which excluded advocates of Single Payer Health Care.
+ I'm beginning to get the hang of Twitter and Facebook. They are both amazing tools for expanding communication and knowledge and wisdom. They can also be misused and definitely can be very addictive.
