COFFEE BREAK 292

+ Spirituality and Practice offers "Praying the News: For Americans Living in Poverty" responding to the sickening news that our poverty rate is now the highest since the Census Bureau began collecting this data 52 years ago. I realize this sickening poverty rate is not Obama's fault but he should be fighting much harder for the wealthy to pay their fair share. Sadly he is all too often enabling the plutocrats who are causing this poverty. He seeks to unite with them even though they repeatedly show they do not care about the masses. For the past 30 years, the top 2 or 3 per cent have been taking more and more while the rest of us have either gained very little or have lost ground.
+ Here is something I found on Facebook (or, rather it found me!) which appers to be informative and prophetic > http://www.facebook.com/PublicReligion
+ Today's quote at the Spiritual Practice of the Day is something worth thinking about and praying about:
A society based on universal compassion is not just our only hope; it is an evolutionary imperative.
