RED SOX WIN GAME ONE OF ALCS

Last night, the Red Sox did what they could only do once in 9 tries during the regular season. They beat the Rays in St. Petersburg. Ace pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka did not allow a Ray to get a hit until the seventh inning. In the eighth, the Rays threatened but the relievers put out the fire. Jonathan Papelbon did not allow any Ray to reach a base in the bottom of the ninth. Final score: 2-0.
